Nestory

Family photos & GDPR (servers in Germany / Frankfurt)

Family photos are not reach. They are someone’s child. Where they live is not a footnote.

GDPR sounds like a PDF and a checkbox. For families it means something simpler: who stores the pictures, in which country, for what purpose — and who may see them at all? A public feed with ads is a different answer from a private nest that only invitees enter.

Nestory hosts in Frankfurt. That is a product fact, not a lawyer line: the photos live in Germany, not “somewhere in the cloud”. Analytics on this website run only after you accept the cookie notice. The full picture — rights, vendors, purposes — is in the privacy policy. We are not legal advice. We say where your album lives.

What you notice is deliberately unspectacular. No Discover. No ads on family photos. Grandma opens a weblink in the browser, with no app and no account. You upload in the Nestory app. Nest, upload, invite — the album, not a new legal product.

If a Germany server location matters to you, it is not an extra feature to tick. It is why the nest is built here. Read the privacy policy. View the example album. Then decide whether this bubble fits your family.
